Shana's 6-month check-up

Shana had her 6-month check-up yesterday She weighed 18 lbs 8 oz (above 90th percentile) and was 28 inches long (off the chart)! Shana is still breastfeeding well and starting on solids, just once a day. Like her doctor said, is this the girl who initially had weight gain issues? What is Mommy eating? All we can say is that Shana is a healthy girl who enjoys EATING just like her mommy and daddy.

Solids Shana has tried:

Rice cereal

Avocado

Banana (Her favorite so far)

Kabocha squash (Stopped giving her this since she started spitting up more)

Tofu (Donal did not like what came out the other end so we stopped giving her tofu. The doctor also told us it's too early to give her high protein foods. She told us to wait for another month. In Japan this is one of the first things babies eat though.)

Carrots (Her latest addition to her diet and she loves this too)

We will try green veggies this weekend and see how she does. I have a feeling that she will like it.
Some pictures to follow soon...

Holy cow! She's right on track like Camille's cousin, Maggie. Camille is almost 20 lbs at 15 months. Guess she's a runt. ;-)
